Transjakarta Users Now Can Access Free High-Speed WIFI in All Bus Stops

Starting Tuesday (12/1), all Transjakarta bus stops are equipped with free high-speed WIFI that can be accessed without quota limits. This facility can be enjoyed by all Transjakarta customers in all bus stops throughout 13 Transjakarta corridors.

"This facility is supported by total capacity of 5GB Bandwith in 2020 with speed reaches 20 Mbps that can be enjoyed by all Transjakarta customers for free and without quota limits," explained Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo, President Director of PT. Transjakarta, on Tuesday (12/1).

According to him, this WIFI facility can be accessed for free and unlimited without having to register first.

In order to access it, Transjakarta customers only need to turn on WIFI from their devices and connect to TIJE-High Speed WIFI. This way, customers can immediately enjoy the high-speed internet without quota limits at all Transjakarta bus stops.

This new facility, he continued, is only active during bus stop service hours to ensure all customers can enjoy free high-speed internet access.

He mentioned that Transjakarta plans to increase the bandwith capacity into 10 GBps in 2021 to improve WIFI performance in all Transjakarta bus stops.

"We will continue to improve its performance in line with increasing number of our customers thus internet quality for customers can remain stable and maintained," he said.

Moreover, free high-speed WIFI facility with now quota limits will make it easier for Transjakarta customers to download Tije app or buy QR ticket at all Transjakarta bus stops.

Transjakarta also remind people to stay at home if there is no urgent need outside. If they need to leave house, his side encouraged them to always apply 3M by wearing mask, washing hnds and maintaining distance.
